2. Verrocchio's workshop

At the age of 14, Leonardo was

apprenticed to the famous artist

Andrea di Cione, also known

as Verrocchio, and joined his

workshop. Records say that

Verrocchio's workshop was the

best and largest in Florence,

which was a major city at that he would do so learning art and

time. Leonardo was the studio other works for the next seven

boy that helped with studio years. Leonardo would have

work for the master artist, and obtained theoretical training and

a range of technical skills, such as
