            users, because they wanted to be the




            number one and wanted the clients



            to use their products. Netscape sued



            Microsoft for violating the law, so




            the Justice Department opened an



            investigation for Microsoft.




            In 1999, evidence was found



            that proved  Microsoft  violating




            the Sherman Antitrust Act of
