         In 1975, BASIC, which was a popular




         mainframe computer programming



         language, was used for Personal



         Computers (PC).  Bill Gates and Paul




         G. Allen were the two people to make



         this change. They knew each other



         since they were young and were both




         from Seattle. After a short period



         of  time, Gates and Allen founded




         Microsoft. They came out with



         this name after joining the words




         microcomputer and software into
