He sent his servants to burn the vial on top of the highest mountain. From
then on, the mountain came to be called the “mountain of immortality”, or
Mount Fuji, as “fuji” means immortality in Japanese. To this day, people say
they can see the smoke from atop Mount Fuji, making its way toward the
clouds and to the moon.
