In the days that followed,

Masakatsu did everything but

learn how to fight. He was

sweeping the floors, cooking

the food, cutting the vegetables,

and so on. He was doing chores

that were not related to sword

fighting.

The young man got desperate

of the odd chores and

approached his instructor one

day, “Great teacher, could we

begin the lessons?” asked the

young boy. The instructor

smiled and told him they would

start the next day.
