Bas Celik (meaning “head of  steel”)



         is one of  the oldest and most famous




         Serbian tales.








         Once upon time, there was a king




         who  lived  with  three  sons  and



         three daughters. On his deathbed,



         he proclaimed that each daughter




         should marry the first suitor to come



         along.









         One night, shorty after his death, a




         thundering voice demanded for the
