What is your favorite season? Some people like summer because that’s when
you go to the beach. Children also get to play outdoors under the Sun. Other

people like the winter season because of Christmas. Some also like it because of
the cold weather. Even fruits come in seasons. However, do you know why there

are different seasons? Have you thought about how the seasons change? The
Earth goes around the Sun in a year. Because of this, places on Earth do not get

the same amount of sunshine throughout the year. Changes in the amount of
sunshine affect a place’s weather. Since there are regular changes in weather,

different seasons take place . Spring, summer, autumn, and winter seasons have
very different temperatures. The winter season is very cold. Usually, there is snow

during this season. These four seasons are based on the regular changes in
             temperature throughout the year.

In some countries, there are no huge changes in temperature. These countries
have dry and rainy seasons, instead of the four seasons. Countries that have dry

and rainy seasons are called tropical countries. These seasons are based on the
changes in the amount of rain throughout the year. Sometimes, the amount of

sunshine is very little in some months. This creates the colder seasons. For
example, days are shorter during the winter season. That is because the Sun is

out for a shorter time. Less sunshine reaches the Earth. During the summer
months, the Sun is out longer. A greater amount of sunshine reaches the Earth.

That is why it is very hot during the summer.
