During the Easter holiday, children are excited about one thing: Easter eggs.
Easter eggs are painted or dyed in many colors and patterns . In the past, the
tradition was to use chicken eggs, but today, the Easter eggs are made from
chocolate, wrapped in brightly colored foil , or plastic eggs with candy inside.
These are often hidden, supposedly by the Easter bunny, for children to find on
Easter morning.
Some mothers decorate the eggs using natural products. To produce the color
blue, they use canned blueberries or purple grape juice. To make brown or beige,
black tea or coffee could be used. For orange, carrots are used. These fruits or
vegetables and other food products are boiled and strained to get the color or dye.
