The Bloody Mary legend is a story

based on the life of the witch Mary

Worth, and it may seem somewhat

innocent until you realize

how scary the story is.

Mary Worth was a woman believed

to be a witch simply because she

lived in the forest, in a tiny cabin and

was known around the local villages

for selling tinctures and herbal

remedies.

Locals were scared of her and

avoided her, afraid that she would

curse them or their animals and

those who purchased her herbal

remedies were shunned by the very

religious for partaking in ‘Wicca’.
