Many new projects were
undertaken, attempting to scan
the cosmos for extraterrestrial
radio signals.
The most notable of these is the
Ohio State University (OSU) SETI
project, which is ongoing.
In 1977 the OSU SETI project
actually did record a radio
signal which could have
emanated from an
extraterrestrial intelligence.
