Long, long ago, the Sun would speed
across the sky each day. Because it
moved at such speed, the days were
too short. The villagers did not
have time to do all their daily work
or chores. They did not have time
to hunt or catch fish; they could
not tend to their crops of fruit and
vegetables; and they were unable to
do their housework or cook food.
