All of the palaces and buildings
created for the fair were only meant
to be temporary as it was agreed
that the park was to be restored
to its original state once the fair
was over. So these buildings were
mostly constructed out of staff,
a mixture of plaster, cement, and
hemp fiber. Due to the nature of
these temporary materials, the
buildings would start to wear
down over time and were repaired
and replastered when needed over
the course of the fair. However,
