Successful Closing
A few more steps and it’s time to move! Your Title Company’s Role
Choosing a reliable Title Company is crucial (US Title is located next to our office should you want to make the closing more convenient).
They “guarantee” to you that there are no liens, encroachments, or outstanding claims against your property.
They have a staff of lawyers to review all aspects of your property and upon completion of their research, can provide you a “clear” title at closing.
They start their process when we receive an accepted contract and complete the process on the day of closing by reviewing all of the documents in details with you.
They are available to answer all of our questions and are in direct contact with your lender.
The day prior to closing you will receive a call from the Title Company, your lender, or us to inform you of the exact amount you will need to bring to the closing in the form of a cashier’s check made out to the title company (personal checks are not acceptable at closing).
We will confirm the time of the closing and will be available during closing if you have questions.
You’re Moving!
Your possession date will normally be on the day of closing.
There are so many things to think about when moving!
We will give you a “Moving Checklists” that will guide you through the day you move
and help you stay on track. It will include checklists for the buyer, kids, pets & plants.
