OTHER IM PORTANT FACTS
- Each and every taxpayer has a set of fundamental rights they should be
aware of when interacting with the IRS. Explore your rights and our

- Not e: You have t he right t o appeal an offer reject ion, but not t he
ret urn of an offer. Penalt ies and int erest will cont inue t o accrue while
your offer is considered by t he IRS. Aft er you submit your offer, you
must cont inue t o t imely file and pay all required t ax ret urns, est imat ed
t ax payment s, and federal t ax payment s for yourself and any business
in which you have an int erest .
- Failure to meet your filing and payment responsibilities during consideration
of your offer will result in the IRS returning your offer. If the IRS accepts your
offer, you must continue to stay current with all tax filing and payment
obligations through the fifth year after your offer is accepted.
- Not e: If you have filed your t ax ret urns but you have not received a bill
for at least one t ax debt included on your offer, your offer and
applicat ion fee may be ret urned and any init ial payment sent wit h
your offer will be applied t o your t ax debt .
- To prevent the return of your offer, wait until you have received a bill for at
least one tax debt and then include a copy of any tax return filed within 12
weeks of this offer submission.
