The saying of Imam As Syafi’fi warns us that the road to

success is associated with the one of seeking and gaining knowledge.
We can’t be successful in this world without learning and having the

knowledge. Gaining knowledge is the main ingridient in getting

success in the world and hereafter.
Brothers and sisters in Islam,

Knowledge is power, the more knowledge we have, the more
creative we will be, and the more chances we will have to be

successful and happy. With the knowledge we can obtain the glory of
the world, with the knowledge we can change the world to be a better

place for humankind, and with knowledge we can understand the

commands of Allah and the way to Paradise.
Dear brothers and sister in Islam,

Knowledge is so important to the life of human, that our great
Prophet, Muhammad p.b.u.h, obligated us to seek. He said:

“Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” (Al-
Tirmidhi)
Every moslem has to seek knowledge and make the best use of
it for the life of human kind and the universe. The essential first step
we must do is the pursuit of knowledge. After gaining the knowledge
we must practice it. After that, we must also share the knowledge we

gain to others, we can not simply keep the knowledge for ourselves. It
