ACCESS FOR ALL!

The Boothbay Region Y is deeply committed to providing access to everyone in the community. Our goal is
to include anyone who wishes to be a member and participate in any of our programs. Through generous
donations, the Y is able to offer financial assistance for all programs and camp and also underwrites a sliding
scale membership model. This “Membership for All” program means that anyone in the community can be a
member, regardless of financial circumstance. In addition, the Y offers free memberships to every student in the
High School in order to encourage the use of the facilities and to help develop healthy habits.

The Annual Fund underwrites 34% of the membership-for-all and high school access programs. Thanks to
donations, nearly $10,000 a month is directed to support the community in this way.

Further, the Y reaches out separately to donors to request support of the Camp K Fund. This fund directly
underwrites scholarships for Camp K, and in 2021, every single camper who requested aid received it.

We are grateful to everyone who supports the Y and therefore provides access to so many members of our
special community.

BOOTHBAY REGION YMCA FINANCIAL NEED POLICY

One of our goals at the YMCA is to not turn anyone away because of the inability
to pay. We offer assistance to individuals & families, so that YMCA programs are

accessible to every person in our community regardless of age, gender, religion,
ethnicity, or income level.
