Eskimo bowline
You might think you already know every bowline
variation you’ll ever need, but this one has a distinct
USP. Whereas the standard bowline is likely to
collapse when its legs are pulled wide open (who
wouldn’t?), this version takes such abuse completely
in its stride. Aside from that, it’s really just a bowline
tied on its side…
1 Pass the line around the object being ‘looped’ – in this case, a sail bag.
