Dyneema soft shackle
The Dyneema soft shackle combines the latest in
splicing techniques with some very traditional knot-
tying to create a functional and yet attractive piece
of gear. If only the marriage of old and new was
always this successful! A piece of Velcro taped
around the shackle will prevent it opening
unexpectedly.
1 Cut a 36in (0.9m) length of line. Put one mark 12in (30cm) from one
end of the line, and another mark 5½in (14cm) from the first.
