Wall knot
The wall knot is basically an upside-down crown
knot. But while the crown leads the strands back to
the line’s standing part, the wall knot leaves them
pointing in the original direction. This means the line
can be reconstituted to form a knot ‘in the bight’.
1 Prepare the line as before (Step 1), or tie four lengths of thin line
together with a whipping and a seizing, as shown. The same principles
apply for three strands.
