Ashley’s stopper
Based on a simple overhand noose tightened on its
own end, Ashley’s stopper fills a larger hole than
either the overhand or figure-eight knot. And it has
a pleasing, trefoil-like appearance.
1 Form an underhand loop in the end of the line, and place it over the
standing part as shown.
