One-handed bowline
There are some serious reasons why you might
need to tie a bowline with one hand, such as if you’re
being towed behind a boat, or if you’re hanging off a
rock. Or if you’ve only got one hand. Aside from that,
it’s also quite a good way to show off!
1 Hold the working end of the line tightly across the standing part. (The
‘second’ hand is holding onto the line to create slack, as if in a survival
situation, but isn’t strictly necessary.)
