Innomiknot
Designed to tie down aircraft in the Pacific
during the Second World War, this knot takes its
name from the Latin word innominatus, ie having no
name. The innomiknot is said to be easy to tie in the
dark and releases quickly under tension. It can be
used for tethering errant aircraft and dinghies alike.
1 Pass the line around the mooring point. If tethering an aircraft, this will
need to be extremely secure!
