               Innomiknot




               Designed  to  tie  down  aircraft  in  the  Pacific


               during  the  Second  World  War,  this  knot  takes  its
               name from the Latin word innominatus, ie having no


               name. The innomiknot is said to be easy to tie in the
               dark  and  releases  quickly  under  tension.  It  can  be

               used for tethering errant aircraft and dinghies alike.




























                1  Pass the line around the mooring point. If tethering an aircraft, this will
