Alpine coil

All the coils so far have assumed a fairly malleable

line that won’t mind having a ‘waist’ put into it. This
isn’t the case if you’re working with stiff line that

needs to stay in a round coil. Fear not; help is at
hand in the shape of the alpine coil, for instant

access.

1 Coil the line in the usual way. Put a bight in one end and then take a

turn around the coil with the other end.
