               Mooring hitch

Once mastered, the mooring hitch can be quickly

tied in the bight and dropped over a post or bollard.
More secure than a clove hitch and not as vicious as

a constrictor knot, it is well worth adding to your
               repertoire of regularly used knots.

1 Put a bight in the line and twist it to make two elbows, the top one

                                              larger than the lower one.
