Braided loop
Some loops have specific practical applications to
which they are very well suited – but they’re not
necessarily the prettiest of knots. When it comes to
making a lanyard for your binoculars, for instance,
you might feel tempted to go for something a little
more decorative. Alternatively, you might just need
a good practical knot to put a loop in the end of a
fishing line. Either way, the braided loop will serve.
1 Form a pair of bights in the line, leaving a long working end.
