               Tightrope

Here is another use for the versatile trucker’s

hitch (here) – and what better knot to get enough
tension to make a tightrope? We used an old

mooring warp, which was harder to tie but easier to
walk across than a thinner rope.

1 Find two conveniently spaced trees. Tie one end of the rope to one tree

using a round turn with two half hitches. Tie a butterfly loop at the other

                                                           end.
