               Tucked bowline




               Despite  all  the  eulogies  to  the  bowline,  not


               everyone  loves  it.  This  variation  was  devised  by
               Captain Alfred Henry Alston to make the knot more


               secure, and it’s certainly worth getting into the habit
               of tying it this way when using modern ropes.
