Marline hitch

Marline hitches are traditionally used to stow a

hammock, but they can be used to secure any long
bundle. A series of large marline hitches tied in a

single line can be a very fast and effective means of
stowing items.

1 Secure one end of the line either to the boat itself or around the sail

using a sliding loop, eg a running bowline.
