Chinese crown loop
Another attractive Chinese import, this loop is
based on the popular Chinese crown knot (also
known as the shamrock knot). Used by sailors to
decorate tools and weapons, it was brought home
and incorporated into the burgeoning art of
macramé. Now it is used in everything from martial
arts weapons to hanging lanterns.
1 Fold the line in half and put a loop in the middle, as shown. If attaching a
knife, slide the ring into the loop at this point.
