REPORT
WAD AMBASSADOR INNOVATION
AWARD 2025
What started as a simple idea has grown into something truly
special for WAD…. thanks to the then 1st Vice President Philip
Ryffel. Our ambassadors do amazing work for our association,
representing WAD in their own countries, vetting applicants and
flying the WAD flag wherever they go. This year, we launched
the WAD Ambassador Innovation Award 2025, giving our
ambassadors the opportunity to submit a 30-second elevator
pitch that captures the unique essence of WAD.
We received numerous creative and inspiring submissions, and
after careful review, narrowed them down to the top five most
deserving entries.
• Vinay Kumar Chauhan – INDIA
• Janet Helm – CANADA
• Sylvester Okere – NIGERIA
• Jari Ala-Varvi – FINLAND
• Alexey Sherbenev – RUSSIA
It is with great pride that we congratulate Janet Helm (British
Columbia), Ambassador for Canada, on her outstanding
achievement as the winner of the award. Competing against a
strong field of over 40 ambassadors, Janet’s pitch was selected as
the most compelling and innovative. We congratulate Janet, and
to all our finalists. Your dedication and creativity highlight exactly
what makes our global WAD community so unique.
