Doug Bennett
Doug Bennett (Senior Managing Director) rejoined Aon Reinsurance Solutions in May
2021 following a 10-year period when he was Head of Programs at QBE America
and Head of Program Management at ACE. His last 5 years were spent as Senior
Relationship Manager for the largest wholesalers for Westchester, a Chubb Company.
Doug is based in Stamford, CT and is part of the MGA Specialty Practice team led by
Cory Schilling. He spent 2001-2010 at Benfield and Aon Benfield leading the MGA
Specialty Practice Group. Prior to Benfield, Doug had 20+ years prior on the reinsurance
underwriting side and holds a B.A. from Trinity College.
Grace Meek
Grace joined Homesite in September 2019 as President and CEO of Homesite Underwriting
Managers LLC and SVP of Homesite Insurance. Grace has held a variety of senior leadership
roles over her 30 plus years in the industry with 25 years of them specializing in Programs.
She joins Homesite from Allied World Assurance Group where she led the Program Division
and their other Specialty Divisions. Grace holds a BS in Applied Math & Statistics from SUNY
StonyBrook and remains involved with the University as a member of their external advisory
board and a mentor for Women in Science & Engineering.
Jim Blinn
Jim Blinn is Executive Vice President of Client Solutions at Zywave. In this role, Jim helps
drive success with both new and existing clients. He was previously responsible for
the global teams that develop and grow Advisen’s proprietary databases. Advisen was
acquired by Zywave in 2020. Jim joined Advisen as a Principal in 2002. He previously
served as a Managing Partner at Ernst & Young and worked at Reliance National in the
Risk Management Services Division. Jim began his insurance career in 1980 as a Principal
at Tillinghast where he worked for 11 years. Jim received a Bachelor of Science degree
in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Yale University, and he received
his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves
on the Board of Directors of the Spencer Educational Foundation, and he is a previous
member of the Editorial Advisory Boards of Risk Management and The Self-Insurer magazines. Jim also co-authored
the ARM 56 textbook, and he is a past Chairman of the Self-Insurance Institute of America.

VJ Dowling is a Managing Member of Dowling Capital Partners & IBNR LLC. In addition,
he serves as Chairman of Dowling & Partners Securities LLC (D&P) and Dowling-Hales
LLC. Dowling started his career at A.J.B. Zunser & Co. in 1982 as a junior insurance stock
analyst and joined Fox-Pitt Kelton, Ltd. in 1983. He was admitted to the FPK partnership
in 1986 and then founded Dowling & Partners in 1990. Dowling & Partners Securities is
an institutional stock brokerage firm specializing in property/casualty (re)insurance, life
(re)insurance, as well as title, mortgage, and financial guarantee (re)insurance. Dowling &
Partners publishes the IBNR Weekly and the bi-weekly Hales Report. Dowling is a
graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Business School.
