Tom Gillingham, NFP
Tom Gillingham is a 25+ year veteran in the commercial specialty program arena, with
experience working at both carriers and program administrators during that time. Tom
is currently Managing Director and Head of MGA/MGU Business at NFP, the #13 largest
broker of US business. Prior to joining NFP in 2017, Tom owned and operated EverGuard
Insurance Services, Inc., a Program Administrator specializing in the restaurant, bar,
and tavern industry. Prior to that, Tom was the CEO and owner of another Program
Administrator, Gillingham & Associates, Inc., the leading underwriter of outdoor
recreation and hospitality businesses in the US. Tom sold Gillingham & Associates to
Philadelphia Insurance Company in 2008 and remained on as President until 2010 to
successfully oversee a smooth transition of the business. Tom graduated from Baylor
University in 1997, where he studied marketing and risk management.
Ken Jordan, Smith & Wilkinson
Ken Jordan is Founder and Managing Partner of the Insurance Practice at Smith
& Wilkinson, a boutique talent acquisition and advisory firm that has served the
Programs community for several years. Having spent nearly a decade in the space,
Ken has witnessed significant changes in the talent market; in addition to sourcing
specialized talent for a broad range of clients, Ken and his team have offered
guidance to hundreds of companies on matters such as organizational structure,
compensation & benefits, leadership development, and succession planning.
Bob Kimmel, K2 Insurance Services
Bob Kimmel holds the operating senior
leadership position of K2 Insurance Services
since its establishment in 2011. He has over
20 years of experience in the P&C Insurance industry. Prior to forming K2, Bob was
Executive Vice President of Guy Carpenter & Company’s Program Manager Solutions
Group Specialty. In this role, Bob was responsible for growing all revenues associated
with MGAs. In addition to MGAs, Bob maintains deep relationships with management
teams of numerous issuing companies interested in program business. He holds a
bachelor’s degree in finance from Arizona State University.
Bill Mecklenburg, Alliant Underwriting
Solutions
Bill Mecklenburg is an Executive Vice President of Alliant Underwriting Solutions. In
this capacity, he serves as the President of Preferred Concepts and President of SES
Risk Solutions. Bill was previously the CEO of Redwoods Managers, Inc. and the COO
of The Redwoods Group. Bill also served as a Managing Director of reinsurance broker
Guy Carpenter. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. Bill serves on
the boards of the Children’s Craniofacial Association, TMPAA Charities, The Redwoods
Group Foundation, and St. John’s Episcopal Church.
