Bonnie Guth, Munich Re
Bonnie Guth is head of government affairs for Munich Re US P&C operations. Prior to
her current role, she had many roles in the Munich Re US law department and
provided legal advice to underwriting and business teams regarding their business,
operations, innovative product development and strategic relationships. Bonnie’s legal
career spans many years in private practice in NY focusing on corporate, regulatory
and transactional issues for the insurance and reinsurance industry. Bonnie received
her B.A. from Brandeis University and J.D. from Northwestern University School of
Law. She holds CPCU and ARe designations and is an experienced design thinking
moderator.
Richard Henderson, TransRe
Richard Henderson is a Senior Vice President with TransRe and has headed TransRe’s
medical malpractice claims department for the past 25 years. He has more than 35
years of medical malpractice claims experience. Rich is actively involved with
reinsureds, brokers, and third-party administrators in refining their claim handling
strategies and in providing meaningful input as to industry trends and claim handling
tactics. He is also Advisory Co-Chair of American Legal Connections (ALC), a med
mal-focused initiative where front-line industry professionals are actively engaged
in devising strategies targeted at improving claim outcomes.
Carey Bond, Lloyd’s
Carey currently serves as Head of Claims for the Americas as part of Lloyd’s America.
He works in conjunction with the London Claims Team to support the Lloyds strategy
and is based in Atlanta. His responsibilities cover claims in the US, Canada and Latin
America. Carey has a strong background in leading operational improvements and
brings over 30 years of claims management experience with organizations such as:
One Beacon, Canal Insurance, Nationwide and Travelers. He is a member of the
Advisory Board of Claims Litigation Management (CLM) and a member of the Diversity
Committee. He also serves on the Diversity Foundation Board of Directors with the
WSIA and is a past President of the AAIP – the Atlanta chapter of the National African
American Insurance Association.
Bond is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves where he served in a variety of roles from
Command to Advisory. He attended the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute and was certified as
an Equal Opportunity Mediator to the Department of Defense. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University
of Tennessee at Martin, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a master’s degree in strategy and tactics
from the US Army Command and General Staff College.
