M eet Y our Celebrant ...
Hello!
I am Amanda Bode and I am a professional accredited
funeral celebrant having gained a nationally recognised
Diploma qualification with Civil Ceremonies Limited, national
industry award winners and the most highly recognised
training body within the UK.
?
Having a professional legal background, spending the majority
of my working life as a legal assistant/secretary, PA,
administrator and office manager, I have a wealth of general
experience.
My celebrancy career started when I was appointed as a marriage celebrant and registrar for
both Cambridgeshire and Norfolk Councils - a role in which I still work and really love to do.
However, as I am a naturally empathetic person and also passionate about making end of life
plans and choices, I felt I had much to offer in the way of support and guidance in this area
which led me to take the qualification for funeral celebrancy.
My passion for this work came after I had to organise my own mother's funeral and the
mountain of tasks that one has to perform at a time when they are least emotionally able to
handle them. Having had first hand experience of how very difficult organising a loved one's
funeral can be, coupled with a lifelong interest in writing and helping people when they need it
the most, I feel blessed that I have been able to join both of my passions and use my skills to
assist others in their time of need.
What more can I say or wish for - I truly love my job.
In addition, I continue to add to my knowledge and experience through education and
volunteering experiences. I also hold a diploma in bereavement and grief counselling and am
happy to give advice or signpost people to suitable organisations should this be required.
I would also be very happy to give a talk to your club, group, network or workplace if that would
be of interest?
I now invite you to read through the rest of my brochure to find out more and how we can
create the most beautiful, meaningful and appropriate tribute for your loved one.
I look forward to meeting you.
A manda
