"After a small beginning in 2004, the most amazing women joined our chapter. These strong, passionate leaders have dedicated their time and effort to our mission of supporting STEM PhD scientists. A very rewarding aspect of supporting these scholars is getting to know them personally and developing long term relationships. I am confident that our ARCS Oregon Chapter will continue to thrive and increase the number of STEM PhD students we support."

"ARCS Oregon was founded not only to impact the lives of outstanding scholars but to improve our communities by attracting brilliant students to our state. Competition by schools to attract the best students is fierce. We hoped the funds we could provide would influence students to attend our universities, contributing to those schools and enhancing the economic vitality of our city and state. The chapter was modeled after the highly successful Seattle Chapter and Oregon’s success has been greater than we could have imagined thanks to the hard work of the members and Board for the past 20 years. I am so very proud of this Chapter!”

“What a story these 20 years of ARCS Oregon have been!
Growth beyond imagining in the number of scholar awards, universities supported, member loyalty, and statewide membership in ARCS Oregon, making us unique among chapters. I am proud to be a founder of this chapter and proud to be a member. I treasure the friendships I have made through ARCS Oregon.”
