Adrienne Chan
The Anderson Family/ OSU Endowment Scholar
Oregon State University, College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences
Adrienne’s research aims to better understand the role of shallow marine sediments and
seafloor invertebrates on iron cycling on the Oregon continental margin using a combination of collected data and numerical modeling. Her work contributes to an ever-growing body of research that seeks to understand global marine iron cycling and how it drives marine ecosystems. When she’s not building models, Adrienne enjoys drawing, sketching, and a bit of karaoke.

Amelia Culp
The Ragen, Nugent, Haigwood Scholar
Oregon Health & Science University, Neuroscience Graduate Program
Amelia studies norepinephrine neuronal networks in the whole mouse brain using fluorescent tags and whole brain imaging. This project increases the neuroscience community’s understanding of neuromodulation and neuronal wiring principles at the whole brain level. Additionally, norepinephrine is implicated in a host of psychiatric diseases. Amelia hopes that her research will one day help improve treatments for these diseases. Outside the lab, Amelia likes to rock climb, bike, backpack and trail run.

Maya Feezell
The Mary Martin Rosenberg Endowed Scholar
Oregon State University, Department of Integrative Biology
Maya focuses her research on how our oceans are being impacted by climate change. Her current work seeks
to understand how Oregon’s tide pools will be affected by rising temperatures and whether these biological communities will look different in the coming decades. These results will help to inform lawmakers and coastal communities on how to best protect Oregon’s coastal habitats as the effects of climate change worsen. In her free time, Maya enjoys reading and hiking.
