We are grateful for and humbled by the generosity of our members. Below is a list of those who
gave to advance the mission of the Chapter in FY22. Thank you! Total Scholar Awards approved in FY22 = 29
Notable gifts and grants:
1. The Chapter was awarded a 3-year, $248,000 capacity-building grant by the M. J. Murdoch Charitable Trust. The use of this grant is restricted to Executive Director compensation.
2. Members established three new UME’s so far this year.

The Scholar Awards Event in October 2021 was held virtually due to COVID-19. The net amount raised was: $139,767.
Long-Term Development Plan:
The Philanthropy Committee created and approved a 3-year development plan to raise $2.5 million by FY25.
The plan includes the following:
• Expand major gift prospect pool beyond membership and statewide
• Consistently educate members on deferred giving options
• Pursue grants from funders aligned with mission
• Implement development best practices
• Offer endowment opportunities with the Chapter and in addition to UMEs
• Leverage professional staff expertise to cultivate and secure larger gifts and grants

The purpose of the Philanthropy Committee is to actively cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and
funders for the benefit of the organization and to fulfill its mission.
