candidate in the the Institute of of Molecular Biology at at the the University of of Oregon Eric is interested in in in in in how cells repair DNA damage that underlies many diseases including infertility
and and cancers He studies developing sperm and and eggs which intentionally damage their genomes in in in in order to engage multiple DNA DNA repair pathways that promote inheritance of of the the correct amount of of DNA DNA and/or generate genetic diversity Garth Tormoen MD/PhD

Dr Tormoen is is a a a a a chief resident in in the Department of Radiation Medicine He He received his medical and and doctorate degrees from OHSU
He He completed his internship year at at at Providence Portland Medical
Center Dr Tormoen joined the the Radiation Oncology residency program in in in in 2016 and and started the the the B Leonard Holman Research Pathway in in in in in in in 2017 His research interests involve understanding the the the interactions among blood coagulation anticoagulants and and tumor biology with special focus on on on on on how these influence
the the response to radiotherapy
