JOURNEY FROM FOOD TRUCK TO RESTURANT
DESIGN CONCEPT
The Concept for this restaurant design is create a casual and sophisticated seafood dining
space in a two storey 20,000 sq feet commercial complex. It is an attempt at trying to make the
customers at the restaurant feel, they are closer to the ocean and the beach while enjoying fresh
seafood.
The Elements used for this restaurant are inspired by the food truck’s existing menu and the sea
from where raw materials for the food is sourced.
Since the food truck primarily serves seafood on its menu, inspiration was derived from sea
creatures like oysters, blue shrimp, fishes and scallops.
To create an effect of being at the golden sandy beaches with constant waves and surf, gold,
brown and white have been incorporated extensively in the wall features. A blue colored floor
inspired by the deep blue ocean has also been included. This is to to create the effect of being at
the seafront. Also to create an Ocean Like Effect, multiple architectural features that resemble
or are inspired from a Boat and Beach Shacks have been incorporated
