END NOTES
Lisa H. Loomis
We are happy to welcome Lisa to the Foundation family as our new Executive Coordinator. Lisa’s first day will be Monday, May 6th. She will get off to a running start by joining Bobby and Lady in the trip to Gonzaga University May 9th through May 12th for Gonzaga’s graduation celebrations.
Specially Called Executive Committee Meeting
The minutes from this meeting are included. The agreement, including language recommended by the attorneys, is finalized and awaiting full execution.
September Meetings
We will be in Spokane, Washington, for meetings on Sunday, September 8th through Tuesday, September 10th. We will be staying at the Davenport Grant Hotel on Spokane Falls Blvd. (See attached initial draft of the schedule and the reservations spreadsheet.)
We are planning an optional site visit on Wednesday to Heritage University. This school, which has a fully funded endowment serving Native students, is in Toppenish, Washington. Traveling there, visiting the school, and traveling back to Spokane will be a long but we hope interesting day. Watch for a calendar invite which will help us with planning for the bus and the additional hotel night.
Florida Philanthropic Network Summit
Bo George, the Palm Beach County School District’s Instructional Specialist for the Johnson Scholars Program, joined Malcolm, Lady and Sharon at this conference. He reported to his colleagues:
Good morning Good People,
Here are some images from last month’s Florida Philanthropic Network Conference. There were great speakers that spoke on: Maximizing Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and Fail Festival (Failure is inevitable and leads to opportunities of growth). It was a great experience being surrounded by passionate people seeking innovative ways to connect their funding and resources to meaningful causes.
It was indeed a pleasure presenting with Malcolm and Lady about the great work we do in the Take Stock in Children/Johnson Scholars Program, SDPBC.
Watch for a more extensive report on this conference in next month’s Monthly Report.
