Staff and Faculty
American Indian staff make up 31.5% of the total staff on campus while faculty make up 7.5% of the total faculty.
Student Support
The university has an excellent student support program and has one special program that focuses on male students who are underrepresented on campus. They do not have an American Indian Business Leaders (AIBL) chapter but recently attended the AIBL national conference and are planning to start a new chapter.
Our visit concluded with a fabulous lunch with faculty, staff, and a student in the Chancellor’s dining room.
Summary of UNCP site visit
UNCP has everything that we could expect from a university and would be an excellent addition to our Indigenous entrepreneur business scholarship program.
