Meeting Date: May 3, 2023 @ 11:00am EDT
We met virtually with Angelique in accordance with the JSF “Orientation Process for New Board Member” protocol adopted in March 2022. Angelique was well prepared for the session. She had Diligent Boards loaded on her iPad and had already familiarized herself with much of the material.
The session included the following topics:
• A walk through of Diligent Boards
• Board Member job description
• JSF positive and collaborative culture
• Core Values, Mission
• Duty of loyalty, duty of confidentiality
• Conflict of interest policy
• Term of office, reelection process, mandatory retirement age • Site visit and communication policy
• Board member compensation
• Discretionary and matching Director grants
• Travel and reimbursement policy
Malcolm, Bill and Bobby divided the presentation responsibilities. Angelique was appreciative of the intentional onboarding to Foundation service. The meeting concluded at 12:10pm.
