I would like to extend my sincerest thanks again for choosing me as one of the lucky recipients of this reward. The support is very appreciated as this past year I unexpectedly became pregnant with my first son who is now 4 months old and the light of my life.
Over the past school year, I have also been able to pursue a minor in psychology which I have completed as well as continue pursuing a minor in family support and community practice this fall; both of which compliment my degree of midwifery in their respective ways.
Moving forward, I will be beginning my first of several clinical placements this winter semester where I will start to experience the world of "baby catching" and partaking in the hands-on aspect of this lovely career path. Gilakas'la (thank you) again.
