PROGRAM NOTES
2023 GRANT DISTRIBUTIONS
At the December 2, 2023 Grant Program Committee meeting, we anticipated funding grants to the University of Arizona, Operation Jump Start, United Tribes Technical College, Exponent Philanthropy, and all of the approved matching requests.
The University of Arizona was able to provide the necessary documentation demonstrating their required match. That $42,019 grant was funded in December.
Operation Jump Start has a commitment for the matching funds, but the actual deposit was not made in 2023. We expect that $100,000 funding to be made this month.
A December snowstorm in North Dakota prevented UTTC from being able to make the deposit of the matching funds they had secured. That deposit has since been made and that $250,000 grant has been funded.
The fully executed agreement with Exponent Philanthropy was received and this $30,000 grant was funded in December.
Matching grant request forms were not received from Florida AHEAD, American Indigenous Business Leaders, and Hobe Sound Christian Academy in 2023. We anticipate that the 3 grants totaling $5,000 will be funded this month.
In order to be sure we met the federally mandated minimum distribution requirement for 2023, $500,000 was sent to Palm Beach Atlantic University as pre-funding for their 2024 grant.
