Groves Learning Organization action item update
April 7, 2025
Groves Learning Organization (GLO) Zoom Call
Attendees: Linda Domholt (VP of Advancement), Nancy Segreti (VP of Growth and Enrollment Operations), Erica Sutton (Director of Admissions),
Bobby Krause, and Mabel Colón
Purpose: Tuition Assistance Program
The meeting began with the GLO team expressing their appreciation to JSF for raising thoughtful questions about the Tuition Assistance Program during the March GPC meeting. As a result of the questions, they have now included a “Family Scenarios” section (graphic below) on their website that illustrates how tuition assistance is determined based on a family’s unique financial circumstances.
Groves Academy’s Tuition Assistance Program provides needs-based support to its Academy student population. For the 2024-2025 school year, 35% of the Academy’s 270 students received a tuition assistance package. The amount of each package varies by family, based on their individual circumstances. The average award among families receiving aid this year is $19,791.
During the admissions process, families accepted to Groves Academy are given the opportunity to apply for tuition assistance. This year, 41% of accepted families submitted applications for aid, and 35% of the total confirmed student enrollment received an aid package. It is important to note that not all applicants demonstrate financial need, and therefore not all are awarded aid.
