b. Governmental Actions Impact
The Committee continued the discussion regarding the impact and potential impact of
current federal government actions.
The Committee approved:
1. Bobby Krause as CEO will lead research to assess the Foundation’s potential vulnerability stemming from any actions the Foundation may take. Such research will include, but not be limited to, obtaining opinion papers and publications from state and national philanthropic organizations and seeking the advice of legal counsel.
2. The staff will continue to contact all Foundation grantees to inquire about their status, actions and potential needs.
3. If a grantee expresses an immediate need, Bobby may use his Discretionary Grant authority to make a grant.
4. If Bobby Krause determines a specific need or overall need requires a larger amount of grant funds, this Grant Program Committee could be convened virtually to consider it.
c. Entrepreneurship scholarship program recommendation
The Sitting Bull College site visit report from Rick Williams had been circulated. Rick recommended inviting Sitting Bull College to submit an application for the Johnson Scholarship Foundation Entrepreneurship Scholarships Program.
The Committee approved inviting Sitting Bull College to submit an application for the Johnson Scholarship Foundation Entrepreneurship Scholarships Program.
There being no other business, the meeting adjourned at 3:10 p.m.
