Distributions as of July 17, 2024 - $ 1,365,000 Gallaudet University
Gallaudet submitted their end-of-year report. (See attached.)
UPS employees’ dependents
The consent document and proposed revisions to JSF’s bylaws, drafted by attorney Nat Nason, have been delivered via UPS to United Parcel Service’s Chief Legal & Compliance Officer and the District Manager, State of Florida, whom Bobby met previously.
INDIGENOUS PEOPLES PROGRAMS
• Distributions as of July 17, 2024 - $ 700,000
• Entrepreneurship Scholarships
Bobby, Sherry, Rick, Sharon, Lady, Lisa and Tommy met to review all of the applications and determine the awards to be made for the 2024/2025 academic year. (See attached distribution spreadsheet.)
• Planned site visits
Bobby, Sherry and Lisa will be traveling to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada this month to meet with Dalhousie University and Martin Family Initiative regarding potential grants. Watch for reports on both site visits next month.
DISCRETIONARY PROGRAMS

• Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech
Clarke created a great press release highlighting the JSF grant. See the article at

• Take Stock in Children/Johnson Scholars Program
The spring report on the Program is attached. Bo George, the District’s Instructional Specialist who runs the Program wrote:
