END NOTES
Diligent Boards
Diligent Boards will soon require the use of an email address as a username rather than a person’s first and last name. Please note the following:
• Most users already have email addresses registered in the system; if not, they will be directed to a page to register one at the next login.
• Once the user successfully logs in with their current credentials:
• The site will redirect them to a page to confirm which registered email(s) will be their username moving forward.
• The ability to add a new email address is available.
• The user may skip this step up to 3 times before it becomes mandatory.
• Once the process is complete, users will then be required to input their email address as their username for all future logins.
• This action cannot be performed on behalf of an individual – it requires them to log in under their current credentials, which must only be done by users themselves.
• If email is the current method of login, there will be no change or impact to the user.
Starting August 5th, anyone not yet using their email address to sign in will be redirected to confirm their choice of email address for future logins. You may skip this step up to 3 times before it becomes mandatory. Please note that your password will remain the same.
If you have any questions or run into any issues, feel free to contact Lady – hereford@jsf.bz. September Meetings
We will be in Spokane, Washington, for meetings on Sunday, September 8th through Tuesday, September 10th. We will be staying at the Davenport Grand Hotel on Spokane Falls Blvd. See the attached schedule.
There will be an optional site visit on Wednesday to Heritage University. This school, which has a fully funded endowment serving Native students, is in Toppenish, Washington. The site visit will require 6 hours of round- trip travel on a chartered bus. Please respond to the calendar invite to help us with planning for the bus and the additional night in Spokane.
The reservations spreadsheet is attached for our planning.
Letters of Inquiry
JSF’s longstanding policy has been to respond to Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) within 30 days of receipt. However, over the past several months, approximately 40 organizations did not hear back from JSF within the 30-day time frame. Several steps were taken to address this issue, starting with immediate action being taken on all LOIs that were still awaiting a response. Ongoing discussions are taking place at the staff level to prevent such a lapse from happening again and also to improve the process. Additionally, Bobby sent an email to each of the affected organizations apologizing for this oversight. Currently, all organizations submitting an LOI are now receiving a response within 14 days, which will continue to be the goal going forward.
