As you may remember, you will be lower when flying into lower pressure

without adjusting the altimeter setting.

Wind Correction
You can correct this by the
31 – 40 kt + 500 ft
following:
41 – 50 kt + 1000 ft

3.4 Pressure and wind (Meteorologi 2 - 2 videoer)

All wind is caused by pressure differences.

3.4.1 High pressure and low pressure

There are fewer air molecules (and therefore less pressure) in one area (low
pressure) than in another area (high pressure). This pressure difference will try

to equalize – that's why the wind blows.

In general, air will flow from high pressure towards low pressure.
