                3.8.3    Warm Sector


                The area between the cold and warm fronts is called the warm sector.




                The figure shows a classic

                low-pressure system: cold

                front with showers, warm

                sector with good weather,

                and warm front with rain.

                Above is the low-pressure

                system at higher altitudes.




                Below is a cross-section of

                the  low-pressure  system

                from the Earth's surface to about 10 km up.

                Next side you see the clouds associated with a traditional front system. The
